Deerhurst in Huntsville has two golf courses. Deerhurst Highlands is hilly, and has lots of that familiar Muskoka granite outcropping and forested areas. Deerhurst Lakeside region has, of course, beautiful lake scenery with some interesting “water hazards”. The golf courses are part of a sprawling 760-acre luxurious resort offering a variety of different types of accommodation including hotel, lodges and condominiums. The Shizen Spa is also on site. It’s about two and half hours from Toronto by car, and about 45 minutes from the amazing Algonquin Park.
